The Drill Team is the poster child of the Hawk Battalion.  They are committed to excellence and setting the standard.  Commanded by C/MAJ Marissa Goins, the Drill team provides color guards for most school functions from football and basketball games to Homecoming and Veteran's Day.  Along with color guards they also provide sabre guards for senior nights and homecoming.  In their competitions, both in and out of state, the Drill team also has squad, platoon, and exhibition, which is rifle spinning routines developed by the students. The Drill Team competes in and out of state as well as a national competition in Daytona Beach, FL at the end of the season.  The Drill Team is committed and dedicated to standing tall and looking good for the Hawk Battalion. RHS Drill Team went to Northeast Drill Meet and completely dominated the competition. The Let 1 Squad came in 2nd, and the Color Guard, Inspection, and Let 1 Squad and Color Guard came in 1st. They brought home the 1st place trophy overall. Congratulations, Drill Team! The Hawk Battalion went to the Oakland Drill Meet at the beginning of November and had fun getting to know the cadets in programs in the region. C/SGT Bensley once again placed in IDR at 10th. Rossview High School competed at the Henderson Drill Meet near the end of October, bringing home a 3rd place trophy in LET 1 Color Guard, 2nd in Female Color Guard, LET 1 Squad, and Platoon, and 1st in Female Squad. In IDR, C/CPL Younger came in 7th, C/SGT Bensley came in 5th, and C/CPT Enterkin came in 2nd. Overall, they came in 2nd, making the Hawk Battalion proud.
